Default Why, Oh why is my Vectra so bumpy?

I have a 54 plate Vectra C SRi. It has done 82,000 miles.

Over the past few months the car has been riding harder over bumps. I feel more impact when driving over drains, bumps, pot holes etc, whereas a few months ago it was riding smoother over the same bumps and would generally ride softer over bumps. It is now seriously worrying me.

I have replaced the front anti-roll bar links and rear suspension arms, but this has not solved the issues.

I don't know if this is an anti roll bar or suspension problem?

Can anyone with a vast knowledge of Vectra C's throw any light onto this?, Is it just crap Vauxhall suspension? - Surely it should last longer than 82,000 miles over 5 years!?

I have already thrown 300 quid on the drop links and suspension arms and can't afford to chuck money at parts that are not going to solve the problem.

    Help greatly appreciated.

Yeah they are but thats across most cars now not just VX's. i have read its down to abuse over all these speed bumps loading the springs much harder than ever before.

Check all the springs are not broken, it could also be shocks as these are a weak point and can only last 30k in some cases.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Springs and shocks - would've gone here before the arms and links, but I'm no technician...

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...=springs+break

its a poll with over 200 + people on here reporting that they have had a breakage in one form or another....and i would imageine that those who initially reported they hadnt may subsequently have had one go
