    Default Misfire survey

I'm pretty convinced now that we really haven't found the cause of the mysterious misfire on 1.9 cdti engines (120). It seems that changing injectors, glow plugs, injector plugs and EGR valves has no effect and i wouldn't recommend changing these in an attempt to cure the fault. My glow plugs have been changed, egr cleaned and checked, injector wiring (all 4) changed and still misfires at 2900 rpm in 2nd and 3rd moreso when engine very hot after being stood in traffic for a while. Its almost like a momentary shut down of engine than misfire and no warning light is displayed.
I'm trying to get to the bottom of it and wondered is it just my car or is it more widespread fault? you're response would be welcomed

There was a chap on here yesterday that had dodgy water temp sensor wiring that was causing limp mode but i guess if its intermiitently faulty it may case a missfire symptom. Long shot but just a thought. Maybe worth checking.
