Default Track Day - would you

    All,

So I have done MANY track days in my 360bhp saab 9000, but never since I sold her last year.

So I have the opertunity to do another one next month.... question is:
Should I do it in my CDTI 150...?

Obviously its going to be no where near as good as my old 9K, but I love track driving so much, I think I need to do it

Will obviously take all the nessasary steps in preping the car for the day - but do you think it will be ok? anyone else done one in there Vec C...?

    A

I would do it, as I am thinking about doing one soon myself.

Maybe what about a vectra-c track day, sure we could get a good discount for booking a load of slots.

Have to ask a admin about this one.

The GF nearly bought me one for my birthday, but I bottled out and told her no... I was a little worried of being laughed off the track in my non modified vauxhall bus turbo LOL.

Or, just buy an old banger with a big V8 engine and stick it on a low-loader to get it there...

I've been on a few track days with the RSOC in the past and had a brillaint time..

I did look into organising a track day when I was East RO, but the cost per car / person for the day was horrendous, looking at even a small track hire (one recommended by Steve from LMF) for the club worked out expensive with all the correct fee's & insurances inplace, so it was dropped.. and as Glynn said some members said they wouldn't want to use there own cars incase something went pear shaped

If I was you, I wouldn't bother unless I had money to burn and was particularly bored; a diesel Vectra is a big heavy car to hussle down a twisty A/B-road, so I can't imagine a track day in one being anything more than an exercise in frustration.
