what could stop cruise control from working when i press it on the stalk it does nothing any idea's people

I seem to remember people having a problem with a pedal sensor or switch, might have been the brake one..

i had the same problem on mine and it is that the clutch pedal sometimes does not return fully to the top, simple way to cure the problem; when changing gear into 5th or 6th just simply lift the clutch up with your left foot, its only a small amount of lift needed and it solves my problem

You can buy a spring from the dealers that you fit under the clutch pedal.

Its about 4" long and once fitted the clutch pedal is firmly at its highest position.

This means that the switch is in firm contact with the clucth pedal and not turning off your cruise control.

The spring is about £5 and takes 30 seconds to fit.

I have this problem too, funnyily enough, my fix was to switch down to 4th then back to 5th and it worked.... gonna have to look at getting a spring fitted too me thinks

Ive lifted the pedal ,switched from 5th to 4th and still nothing could it be the stalk ?

Could be - just to check, have you made sure the brake pedal has been pressed at least once before trying to engage CC? It won't activate otherwise - often catches people out when leaving motorway services. Also it won't activate under around 30mph - just in case you'd been trying to.

yeah done it at 40 50 60 70 lol light wont even flicker and pressed the brake b4 it
