    Hi guys,

Just recently my car has started squeking when i put the car into full lock or a good 90 degree turn (junction), it's the same sort of high pitch noise that you'd get from not enough copper grease on brake pads.

    any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

Power steering is electric on the vectra c so no belts. Full lock on power steering puts lots of stress on the system and should be avoided. Lots of threads on forum about lights dimming due to electrical load on power steering pump on full lock - quite normal.

Does the noise come from under the bonnet or from the column?

I have a squeak / squeal but only towards full left lock. Sounds like rubber being stressed..

Have no idea what it is, but it is defo in the steering column somewhere, one day I'll get some time to investigate....

The noise it's self is coming from outside the car, so I'm guessing under the bonnet, I've only herd it while driving too, I'll have a look at the fluid levels shortly
