    Default Tyre sizes

I currently have 205/35 ZR19 tyres on my Vectra C.

I keep having problem because they are very low profile and it sounds awful when I hit a pothole.

I have been told to put 235 tyres on instead. I have no what the spec is.

    Should I be asking for 235/35 ZR19?

    All feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

As far as I know you should have 235 35 19 on anyway, with the tyres you have on at the moment your speedo will be 2mph out at 70mph.

Saying that putting 235 35 19 on will make no difference to the ride quality as the tyre walls are the same size as what you have at the moment!!

I believe the reduction in ride quality is just part of having 19's.

235/35r19 is indeed the correct speed,if your speed is showing 70mph tour actual speed will be 67.72mph

Rubbish lol - the middle number (35) is a percentage size of the tyre width, in this case the sidewall height will be 35% of 205mm, with is less than 35% of 235mm as the proper tyre should be...

    Current sidewall height = 71.75mm

    New sidewall height = 82.28mm

Almost 1cm extra. Not a huge amount and might not even notice, but there is a difference...
