Default Parrot MKI9200 Control Pairing Problem

    Hi

I have just installed a Parrot MKI9200 , all powered up fine and connections ok , but ir will not pair with the Controller ,

I have gone bt the instructions and Help the Green / play down while pressing Red button a few times but Nothing , the battery is new , so dont have a clue unless control is faulty. - Seems strange but the battery seems the rattle in the remote control..

The unit finds my mobile ok , but obviously cant access anything until remote control is working.

Anyone come across this problem before ..

Switch on the ignition and let the graphic equalizer finish and display 'Parrot' logo, at this point press three buttons on the remote control at the same time. These are RED, GREEN and the PLAY/PAUSE buttons. You should see 'Pairing remote control on the display'.
It may take several attempts to pair

Default Paarot MKI9200 Control pairing problem

    Hi

Yes i have done it within 30 secs , even at varying times , in numerous differant orders just incase the instructions where wrong , still nothing , getting fed up now , as i mentioned in my earlier post , the CR2032 BATTERY sounds like it moves in the holder , very strange , the battery is in correct the 3v + faceing down.

I have contacted Parrot , but not yet had a reply

    Many thanks for the Help

If it's loose it's not making a connection.

Did you phone or e-mail Parrot in Birmingham? I've found it's best to call them and you can go through the problem live in the car.

i found there was an anomoly with the parrots in that the remote HAD to be paired prior to the phone if the phone was paired prior to the remote then they wouldnt work - as it was completed out of sequence

i refer you to user manual

Before pairing your phone with the Parrot MKi9200, make sure that it is visible by all Bluetooth ® devices. To do so press the jog wheel and select Settings > Bluetooth >Visibility. Then, make sure this option is selected. If it is not the case, select it by pressing the jog wheel.

which means the remote should be working as you have to use the remote to navigate the menu

i ended up having 2 replacement units because of this

Default Parrot MKI9200 Control pairing problem

Hi , Thanks for the replies

With ref to the problem pairing my phone before the remote control , thes this was the case , it did pair before anything else was done.

The problem is , because the remote will not work , i cannot access the on screen menu to do anything at all , the screen just sits in the ` Parrot MKI9200` startup cloud screen .

Is there any other way to reset the master control box , as if it is a case of the phone causeing the problem , there is no way to reset it.

there is no way to reset the box - remove it and take it back to where you got it from - i was on first name terms with the carphone warehouse team following my fiasco - parrot support will take more than 5 days to respond via email - a phone call will get a response normally within an hour if you dont connect to someone - and they will say - take the blue box and the remote back for an exhange
