Angry Begining to regret buying the vectra

Wish ad listened to the lads on the rank and bought a skoda suberb , got a mate with a 04 plate sitting on double the milage to mine, his has 347,000 and mine (vectra cdti sri 150bhp on an 05 plate) just hit 170,000 !

He has not spent a quarter of what i have in maintainance and it just keeps going , its like the duracell ****** bunny !

I was to proud to get a skoda at the time and now it has cost me a fortune in repairs and lost work !!

Looking at handing mine back to the finance company with only four payments left just to get shot of it , Now spent £3400 on repairs from the 10th of febuary its had a clutch, flywheel, inlet manifold, timing belt thermostat new shocks springs discs and pads all round new rear anti roll bar bushes and rear upper control arms then the drivers window regulator snapped and the turbo blew !!
But i'm still gonna have the £3400 debt to pay off too !
Spent £1000 on it in august last year with a full new exhaust and cat and the rear upper controll arms and a few other bits

Its practically a new car but i'm worried what will go next and if it does i have exceeded my borrowing limits and cannot afford to fix nowt else i cant even afford a new ****** magic tree air freshner, and have lost all faith in it as something expensive has gone on average once a fortnight for the last 3 months

After having bitten the bullet on the repairs I think you should stick with it unless it is looking and feeling tatty. A lot of the repairs you have done are good for 30 - 50 k miles. Whatever you buy next may be in need of the work you have carried out already. With 4 payments left see if you can coax it through for 12 months and build up a bit of cash.

its nowt to do with the 150 model. all cars makes and models can have big things and frequent things go wrong with it. its just the way life kicks you there will be many skodas that have gone wrong same as vec you just need to look at taxis as a good way of seeing if cars are good and there are loads of vecs

The swirl valve is the only thing that is common. Anything else can go wrong on any car
