Need some advice got a puncture

Need some advice got a puncher the other day.
The big tyre place's would only replace the tyre but did not have the same tyre so started to look around then a small local garage repaired it from the outside. Is this still aloud as people have said I should still replace the tyre.
I will be doing some long trips over the summer holidays so replace or not?

if your doing long trips i would replace it mate. peace of mind if nothing else

as long as it's not in sidewall I believe it's okay. Mate of mine has three in his tyre and has not had any problems but peace of mind is everything

personally I would replace........but if its not on the sidewall it can be repaired

It's years since I had one of those done but if it were me I would use it as the spare & replace asap hth ........

Replace it for peace of mind, but garage's especially tyre/exhaust places are sods for trying to sell you new tyre's you don't need..... AND while the wheels off they love to tell you your shocks are leaking and the brakes need an overhaul. All be warned!

legally iirc there only suppose to fit one plug to a tyre - then replacement required
