    Default Skint!

Just been out and spent a fortune on some detailling products that I have been meaning to get for ages but never got round to.

    Meg's quik-clay system
    Meg's hot-shine tyre spray
    Meg's cleaner wax
Meg's water magnet drying towel (do you use this dry or do you have to wet it first like a chamois?)

I also got a case with these products in it

    Meg's nxt car wash
    Meg's nxt tech-wax
    Meg's nxt glass cleaner
Meg's gold class ultra plush wash mitt.

Now I am a complete novice at this sort of thing so if any of you guy's could point me in the right direction when it comes to what stages I should use which product I would really aprreciate it.

This is how I was going to do it:

    Wash and dry
    Clay
    Cleaner wax
    Tech-wax.

yeah, you will be allright with that.
One tip, when you get the clay out, warm it in your hands for a couple of minutes to get it upto temperature, otherwise it will marr your paintwork. Use plenty of the quick detailer before and during your clay session and rinse off afterwards.

Don't worry, you'll soon get into the swing of it.

Don't forget to use the two bucket method, one bucket with your shampoo mix in, the other with clean water. Rinse the wash mit in the clean water after every swoosh to get the grit out before loading up with shampoo for the next swoosh.

yep, as above, thats basically it. (and very important advice re the claying. It needs to be soft like dough before you use it)

The water magnet works dry (at the start lol). Just drape it over the bonnet say, lay out flat and drag to the bumper...hey presto a dry car!

If it all sounds like hard work, that's because it is!

But when you finish and stand back and look at the total shinyness of the car, it's all worth it. Plus once you've clayed and polished and got a good coat of wax on, next time a quick wash and maybe wax is all you need to bring back the gloss, as I found out today

Nice one guy's, thanks for the advice.

Andy, when you say spray QD on when you're drying, do you mean just a light spray on the panel your drying?

I have the bug already, I really enjoyed going out today and getting all the stuff I needed, can't wait to get started.

I was going to do it today, but my car is going in to the stealers in the morning for a couple of days so I thought it would be sensible to wait till it's out.
