Default can u turn off traction control?

Took the car for a power run on the local rolling road, got the car on and was asked how do you turn the traction control off. Looked in the manual and you carnt, tried pulling out various fuses with no joy even went and got a t/c (esp) switch from vauxhall but didnt work it just lit up. Is there any way you can turn the t/c off so I can use the rolling road, would be greatfull if anyone can help.

    sorry my car is a signum 1.9cdti 120 8v, 04 reg

My only advice would be to buy the switch, but you have and it didn't work (seems 50/50 at best) I really don't think you can mate.

From reading other threads though, doesn't it only work below a certain speed, hopefully someone else will come along and clarify.

You will need to get the TC switch wired up. Someone on here has managed to wire it up correctly and got it working. Other than that it is usually pot luck on whether or not it works mate.

Even if you got the switch working it will only disable the TC up to a speed of 30 mph (believe so) (i.e if you are traveling above 30 then the switch won't work).

You shouldn't have problems using a rolling road if you have TC? All the Veccys and Signums on here have TC and they work fine on the rolling roads

I have switchable TC, and when my car was rolling-roaded, the operator said he didn't need to switch it off.
