Default Woo hoo! (Well for now anyway)

Fitted the steinbauer tuning box to my 2.2dti and i can't believe how much of a difference it has made. Connected it up and didn't get any eml's or spanner lights. The pull in third gear is amazing. Can't wait to get it onto a rolling road to see how much power it has especially as its only running 20% extra power (may try it on 30% tomorrow).

    I'm gonna enjoy this power

Yeah these ones apparently cost around £400 but i only paid 150euros (thanks ebay germany). Would have been worth the £400. Just need to source the optional remote now.

Hi buddy. the one i bought was second hand so worth looking out on ebay for one. If it is listed for a 2.2tid saab it'll work aswell as its an identical engine.
The hardest bit of fitting is the wire that goes onto the diesel pump as the engine covers and the egr valve have to come off. Then the wire has to be soldered onto the diesel pump wire. Apart from that there are only another two wires to connect (three if you want to switch it which i still have to do) One to the the positive of the battery and one to earth.

It is probably one of the safest boxes to fit as according to their website (http://www.steinbauer.cc/neu/index.p...s&select_l=aus) it does not increase fuel pressure it just regulates it to make the pulses smoother.
If you need any help just ask
Btw i have done the air box mod aswell makes a difference and the dti already has the short vxr intake

Yep.It neither raises pressure in the common rail (not that the DTI's have one anyway so no additional pump pressure),nor does it raise boost pressure from the turbo. It simply adjusts the injection pressure.
