    Default Brakes

    Hi guys, today i set about changing my brakes but was stumped by the carriers. How do you remove them? Ive got the right torx bit but cant release the bolt! Any help before i get to p***ed of and take it to a garage?

    PS. Ive established shouting at it doesnt work!

    They're jsut on really really tight mate. Get more leverage and a longer pole. Like a diesel, torque is the key....

    A long breaker bar with an e20 torx socket should do it. They can be Very tight.

    Try a bit of heat on the bolts as well. Theres a thread locking compound on them.

    its because they have thread lock on them

    Its E20 for the fronts and E18 for the rears.

    Fronts are torqued to 230Nm and the rears are 130Nm aswell as the thread lock

    Just done mine all round, when using the breaker bar it's best to "rock" or "bounce" the bolts free as if you just use brute force you can shear the heads off as my mate found out!!!
