Lightbulb 2.2 Sri Direct Swap - Advice

After loads of probs with my 2004 Sri I have now been offered an "exchange" with a significant contribution from Vauxhall. My car is a 1/3/04 registered Black Sri 2.2 Direct with 26600 miles on the clock. What model of vectra should I go for?.It needs to be "from the Dealer".Similar mileage, age condition etc.I was hoping that I could get a Diesel equivalent without having to pay anything.Am I just wishful thinking? I was going to use certain things to my advantage i.e If I can't get black then there should be an additional contribution (happily take Ultra Blue!).Thanks in advance.

What model? Does the 1.9CDTi Sri have the same "spec" as the Sri I have? i.e. the chrome trim/edging along the windows, tinted lights etc? At the end of the day I may well accept compensation and keep my car/lemon as I do actually like the look of it and doubt anything else can go wrong (touches a bit of wood).

exact same spec (depending on year as they gradually de-specced), but if you get one the same age it should be the same (dependant on whatever options the original buyer might have added).

If you go for the CDTi make sure it's the 150 version, coming from a 2.2 petrol you'd probably be disappointed with the lack of power in the 120 version.

My choice would be the 2.0t petrol, but they probably wont offer you one of them without a bit of cash.

Prices of the CDTi 150 and the 2.0T are about the same so i'd go for the Diesel But they i am slightly biased

I would personally go for the diesel and then get it remapped with the cash from VX.

The 2.0T is a fantastic engine but I fuel economy is on average 25mpg if you have a slightly leaded right foot as most do. The 1.9 CDTi 150bhp is superb.

And I am a severe petrol head coming from high powered guzzlers. I just got some diesel stuck in me ears thats all

Best bet is Vx have a 3 day test drive on at the moment. Get one of each for 3 days and see which one you like.

The 1.9 CDTi comes 'alive' after the remap, but then again I am sure the 2.0T does too lol.
