    Default Power Loss 2.0T

Well really cheesed off at the mo. After been sure that i had blown my turbo, i removed and drove it to Turbo technics in N'Hants for a refurb. As it happens the turbo was fine, so that was £260 down the pan so to speak. Still got my power loss, 0-60 is 14 secs (should be 8.6) there is just no power especially in 3rd gear. Have had it to Vxl who cant find any faults, engine compression is fine 175psi, plugs are good, the mechanic came out and siad to me if it was his car he would change the sensor that controls the waste gate and if not that the air flow meter, i've ordered the waste gate sensor as they told me it was only £12+vat so that will be here tomorrow but I'm having doubts as to whether that willsolve the problem.

Does any one have any idea's what could be wrong. Btw every now and then i get a puff of blue smoke, This has happened before and after turbo refurb.

    Cheers soulman.

Well just a update, driving to work this afternoon, lost all power, plumes of blue smoke. Limped it to the nearest VXL garage (17miles) and i've left it with them. The boss took it for a drive and agreed its defo not right, something i've been telling them since the beginning of the week. So I've now got a Corsa D courtersy car and boy is it guttless

Mate, I have a 2.0T and its stopped working recently, Mine is still with my local dealer waiting for 2 parts, Cramshaft sensor and a coil of somekind. Its costing me £500. I cant even get a courtesy car because they are fully booked, I doubt my car will be back until next week

I think the sensor is on top of the actuator on the turbo.

Had the very same problem with my Nissan Almera and it was all down to the airflow meter. Was more than embarrasing to be raced by a mobility scooter
