Ok, my rear shocks have given up completely and im a bit sick of bounching all over the road :P
I've ordered a full set of B4's from LMF as a direct replacement, I wanted to fit new springs too, but I don't want to lower the car much beyond standard , I just want to stiffen things up little a bit and reduce some body roll. Not mention I have concerns about the springs failing after having no shocks for nearly 3 months.
Perhaps the B4's will be enough?
I don't want to go mad on this car, the Vectra will never come close to the Westfield I have sat in the garage, so it's pointless me spending vast amounts of cash on tinkering with it.
Anyway, 30mm seems to be the minimum drop I can find anywhere....
So lets say I opted for 30mm, is that 30mm lower than standard LS springs? or is that 30mm lower than SRI springs?
It's a bit of a farcical figure really as it doesn't tell exactly what 30mm is compared against. Maybe it makes no difference?
I recall on my 306, the sports springs got thieved by my local garage (the lad who changed the shocks had a bog 306), but I couldn't prove a damn thing. I stopped using that place and brought a full Bilstein sprintline kit a year later which was stated to lower it by 35mm, but when fitted it was closer to 50mm lower.
Would I be better off grabbing myself a set of standard SRI springs from VX?
