    Default 1.8 VVTI More HP????

Hi guys, I am wondering how can I get more power in my 1.8 VVTI engine (140hp) ????? Can you tell me what is best to do??? I know for diesel engines we have chips which can easily add some more horse power, but what about petrol???
    Hope someone will help

    THANKS A LOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I have seen on rolling roads the 1.8VVT seems to produce over 140 standard I have seen a standard one up at 156bhp

Modification wise a remap and may even give you 10bhp but that is the limit with a normal aspirated engine.

If you do a google search, there are a few that could do it - will through up a few.

A 30bhp gain would be for a diesel engine. Typically you would see a gain of circa 10%, but 10-15bhp would be the norm.

If they can get 30bhp (approx 22%) from a 1.8 Petrol with just a remap, then I'd be surprised!!!

Yeah I am sure it will gain up to 30 horse power from Petrol engine. I am suprised too as I read somewhere that normally they gain around 15. I spoke with the guy from that garage and he said 1.8 VVTI engines are good for remapping and from 140 can gain up to 170 !!!

Well, good luck if you go with them, but I would be surprised if it made 30bhp with just a remap.

It might not nett 30bhp peak, but at certain points through the rev range it could be up by 30? 30bhp does seem a lot for a non turbo though.
