    Default Heating/climate control query

I have just bought an 04 reg Signum Elite.
It has climate control, which to be honest is a little OTT for me. Its a ****** pain to change setting and I would much prefer a basic set up with a heat dial, a dial to direct the vents, and fan speed control, + switch for air con etc
Im curious as to whats involved in changing this. Can i just swap the control panels over or is it more complicated than that?

All the motors, computer systems and valves etc are different mate, it's a no-go to retrofit anything that isn't already fitted form the factory...

You'll get used to it, same as anything new in the car...

the climate control is actually brilliant. pick a temperature you're comfortable in (21 or 22 degrees) set it on auto and leave it alone. cue thousands of miles of lovely driving. left alone you'll find it does do the right things.

You have all that with climate. To manually adjust the fan speed, just turn the large centre dial.
To adjust the heat, just turn the outer dial on the drivers side and note the temperature reading on the stereo display. If you want the passenger side to follow suit when you adjust the drivers side then press in the heat adjust dial.
To direct the vents, push in the large centre dial and adjust via the simple menu. Similarly, if you don't want the AC on, then you can switch it off via the same menus. However, the thing with climate is to leave it switched on all year round. Your windows will never mist up. The temperature in the cabin will be more accurately maintained as well.
