Can I do sunglasses holder?

I was planning to do the sunglasses holder mod so I went to the local dealer today to order the part (Sunglasses holder 24453501). The parts man took a look at my car and said that I had the wrong type of roof console and that the sunglasses holder would be too small to fill the hole left by removing the panel behind the light.

I really fancy doing this so could you have a look at the following picture and tell me if he is right. The car is an '06 Vectra Exlcusiv.

no thats fine the first bit just pulls off, then insert the holder

ive got the same as u and put in the holder with no probs.......well the mrs' did whilst i was doing 70mph down the motorway lol

He aint got a clue.....my dads vec has the same setup and he has my old sunglasses holder. Get one off ebay mate and stick it in!

I was going to order it from the local dealer because it would have cost just over £10 inc VAT. I looked at the LMF website and it comes to about £15 with the postage. However I don't fancy going back to the same parts bloke and ordering it off him so I will probably get it off LMF in the end.

I take it that the colour of the trim is standard to all Vectra's?
