    Default Tyre valves

Hey just a question incase any of you guys can help, my friend has some aftermarket alloys on her Mitsubishi Colt (they were on it when she bought it), thought she had a slow puncture so took it to a tyre place, turns out its the valve thats leaking air, however, its made of metal and not rubber. I've never seen this before and the guys at two different tyre places said it was very unusual and it would have to be a specialist place to get a replacement, anybody any suggestions?

Where did she get the alloys from? That's where I'd start. They're not those flush fitting jobbies are they? Surely they could just be replaced with conventional ones?

The alloys were on it, so no clue. The vale sticks out totally normally, its not till you touch them you realise its black metal. Apparently theres some sort of thread they go into, creating the seal that way or something. Its all very strange lol

I had them on my Vec B's GSI wheels, though I haven't got a clue where I got them from now !
I plan to have the flush fit ones on my 19's.

Could these be linked to a tyre delfation warning light? Just a though as I'm sure they need a special valve that transmits to a sensor in the wheel arch or summink.
