Default found out something new today

didnt know you could use the electric windows when first getting in the car without the key in the ignition. very handy

must be linked to the feature where you can drop the windows by the key.

Yep, as soon as you open the doors the windows are powered without having to put the key in the ignition.

Yes this has been available fron the 80's when the cavalier was made from 1989. If you site in the car with the ignition off you can use the windows. as soon as you open the door and close it they get cut off . Vauxhall took the lead and nobody ever followed. Even today ford do not have this.

Its a great feature but its highly annoying when you drive someone elses car. The last thing i do before i leave my car is put the window up but when in anyone elses car i hae to put the key back in the ignition.

with your vectra you could always hold down the lock button on the remote and it'll put the windows up for you if you're not even in the car nevermind a key in the remote

I know but its a habit i got into when driving my old Vec B's, switch of engine, take out key, close window and get out. You couldn't close the window with the key in that.

WOW, amazing stuff. I knew you could use the windows without the key in but that other factoid (holding down the lock button) blew me away. I have just been outside playing with the windows on the Vectra and the neighbours think i am off my head on acid or something by the looks on their faces.

Does anyone know where i can get a copy of the Vectra C features manual as i just bought mine and there is no manual? Ebay or download?
