Default Dodgy bootlock on my Vec-B

I am having a mare with my bootlock on the Facelift B Hatch.

Basically, when it locks with the central locking-FINE.

BUT when I lock it with the key, it wont open and I have to wrestle with the key and lock for a good half-hour and then wahey-the key turns.

It basically gets stuck in the lock position and no matter what you do it wont turn and then all of a sudden it turns. The key comes out fine, its just the actual lock that wont turn.

    Its soo !

    So, questions:

    1. Can I get another 2nd hand lock and have that adapted to my key-if so, from where and has anybody got a boot lock they want to bin-preferably in star silver.

    2. Can this lock be fixed-whats wrong with it and how do I fix it?

    3. Any other advice to sort will be perfect and thank you!

    Cheers guy's.

Off topic I know but my friend will be scrapping his 2.5 V6 S reg in black, it has black leather heated interior. Would you want the interior? The engine is dead so I am going round now to take some pics. He wants the whole car gone so I might stick it on Ebay.

I think you will find is the lock inside the tailgate. They are not to ecpensive new and easy to change. I had the problem with my Vectra B . I had to get ito the boot to open it.

Good I like that. Na mate, im happy with the half-leather. I hate the look of the Vec-B full leather, looks cheap and tacky.

I do however need the hatchback boot struts if it is a spoiler version? Would you check for us mate?

But what about the key, can the lock be adapted to fit key?

Just thought I would ask before it goes to the car lot in the sky. I stuck it on Ebay if it doesn't go by Saturday it goes to the scrappy for £100. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=280339668181

    It doesn't have a spoiler.

    Thanks.

unless you can get the little fingers it would be hard to get the lock to match your key,any vauxhall dealer can order you the barrel matched to your key number
