    Default Fuel Pump Update

Have spoken to customer care again and they have said they will pay 80% of the cost of repair, my dealer said this is a good deal now as they were originally only going to pay 50%. my dealer also said if I make a contribution to the cost I will be entitled to a years warranty on the work. I accepted this as i really dont want the expense of changing the car.

I pay 20% of £750.00. I am still a bit concerned about the guarantee on the work as the service manager said only if it is the same thing as spanner light can mean it could be anything.

    I'd take it!

Although I think Vx are still taking the p*ss considering they are well aware that their fuel pumps are defective.

If you really had time on your hands, and the effort to fight it, I think you could get them to concede to do the work FOC.

    Personally, I'd accept the 20%.
