Following on from this thread, the iTrader system is now active.

It's been set to allow people to give feedback from basically when we first started.

It's pretty straight forward in how it works.

If you are the buyer or seller of something that was listed in a For Sale thread then you can leave feedback.

You can get to the relevant screen to do this in one of two ways.....

Either click on the iTrader rating number underneath a person's avatar in a post.....

..or go into their profile and click on the feedback tab....

..then click on 'View all feedbacks...'

Doing either of those will take you to the feedback page.....

..where you can see all that person's feedback and you can click on the 'Submit feedback' link to start the process. This will get you this screen....

    ..which is pretty self-explanatory.

    1. Choose if you were the buyer/seller
    2. Give your overall experience - neg/pos/neutral.
At this stage we can't stress enough that this shouldn't be the first point that you raise any issue with a buyer/seller by giving neg feedback. You should tried to have resolved any problem off the forum and only if things can't be worked out should you be leaving negative feedback.
The Moderators and Admin will receive notification when any negative feedback is left so we don't want to be checking up on it to find that it's people instead of using it as a last resort and a genuine indication of the transaction.
    3. Short comment - just like eBay, a short summary that anyone viewing the feedbacks can see.
    4. Deal thread URL - very important. You must enter the full URL of the thread relating to the original For Sale transaction i.e. with the http:// bit as well. The system then does a check and if the thread starter isn't the person leaving the feedback or having feedback left for then the process won't complete.
    5. Additional comments (optional) - as stated these are only visible by the other party and Mods/Admin. Main use will probably be when any neg feedback is left so that Mods/Admin can see the details from both parties. Equally it can be used for additional positive comments on a positive feedback if so desired.

EDIT: The text in red has been newly added to update the best way to leave return feedback.

When someone has left feedback or a comment for you for you, you will automatically receive a PM to inform you.

As the PM can notify you of feedback or a comment being left, if you use the link in the PM to reply you may just end up replying to the comment, and not leave proper feedback - as reported back by some members who thought there was a problem with the system.

To make sure that you are leaving feedback in return, the simplest way is to go to your own feedback list....

..and click on the icon to the left under the Option column. This will automatically insert the relevant thread URL for you and save you having to go and find it. It will also then change that icon to dimmed to show that return feedback has been left and tallies them both together. Doing it that way is better than the option of clicking on the link in the PM and leaving it that way as you can end up leaving just a comment but not actual feedback.

Ignore the middle icon as it's a Mod/Admin one that you won't see. The right one is to report any feedback that you feel has been left unfairly or is abusive etc. Again, before you leave feedback you should have aimed to resolve any issues with any transaction. Any abusive feedback will be dealt with firmly.

So, have a good ol' think of the things you have bought and sold and start leaving feedback - one easy way to find some of your transactions is to search for threads you started in the For Sale sections. That should prompt the other person to leave feedback for you and if you've forgotten about an item then hopefully the other person will remember and prompt/remind you when they leave feedback.

The system has checks in place to identify any suspicious activity and if detected will notify Admin/Mods. Anyone found to be abusing the feedback system will simply have their access to the whole Buying and Selling section removed.

I did a few this morning. Well the ones I could remember. I just searched for all threads started by the seller and tracked them from there.

Still a few bits on the car I can't remember who the hell I bought them off though.
