    Default Bigger Cylinder Head.

I have a 1.8 engine, and was wondering if i can improve its performance by bolting on a 2.0/2.2 head.
Or possibly having the 1.8 head bored out to either of the above.

    Would this work?

I already have a large cone filter, aftermarket rear silencer, and a resistor chip on the airflow sensor.

    Was just a thought.
Would it be possible to have the haed bored out though.

Or would it be better in the long run to get hold of a Z20NET engine and fit that instead.

Save yourself the time and money and just buy a new car with the 2.0 Turbo in it mate - cheapest way of doing it and opens up all sorts of power options with BSR etc...

If you port the head of the newer Z GM lump the ECU throws a fit. Unless its in say an older Astra ot corsa which your lump is the newer ECU's wont allow that much tolerance, the only way round it is with a stand alone ECU, but that wont work as you wont be able to tie it in with the Canbus.
