    Default Aerial base rubber

Just been washing the car and noticed the rubber base of aerial is starting to perish, is this the only seal preventing water ingress r is this just the cosmetic rubber? (sorry the photo is a bit poor)

Mine went on my last motor and I ended up with a puddle in the spare wheel well. About £35 for the base from VXL IIRC. Shouldn't be too hard to change.

That's always food for thought mate, however, I don't appear to have a leak here, so I'm guessing the main bit of rubber that's right underneath the base itself is probably intact, so will keep an eye on it and see what happens., as I don't fancy the idea of removing the headlining to gain access.
    Cheers Pete
