Default Bulb Failure Light While Towing

fitted genuine vaux towbar and twin elecs with the towing module fitted and activated by lookers in warrington (read as overpriced and incompatent) they openly told me they didnt really know what to program now whenever i connect a trailer or light board the dash light for bulb faliure illuminates but no message on screen and all bulbs working 100%. little reluctant to go back to them incase it gets worse anyone got any ideas

or if anyone in the area has tech2 or a similar system and could check if they've done it right i'll happily pay for their time

    regards
    Gareth

Take it back to them and get them to do their job properly, the bunch of muppets. Refuse to take it back till it's all working properly as it should, and contact Vauxhall Customer Services if there's any more problems with them...

I connected mine by splicing directly to the existing wires for the tail lights. No bulb failure warning at all!

I've just had a right carry on with my bulb warning light. For days its flicked on an off even though every bulb was working OK.

Decided to check every bulb individually today to make sure no dirty connections etc and all OK.

Switched the lights on and suddenly both of the number plate lights have blown their bulbs!

So maybe you've just got a bulb on the 'borderline' of going! I don't know how this system works but maybe a bulb that is working, but about to fail causes it to flag it on the display.

bulb warning system measures resistance in circuit which is why it is so sensitive

Check trailer socket for correct conection, when the car have check control you have to conect right and left tail light individual.
It's an option in programing to check foglight and reverse light, if trailer dont have it, it must be turned off.

problem sorted thanks sulten the ****** thing was looking for a reverse light so ive sorted that problem on my caravan with no reverse light by using the reverse light feed by the leisure battery (yellow wire on 12s input) and using a tail light bulb connected to it and back to earth. kinda means i now have a nice illuminated leisure battery when i select reverse. but NO annoying light on the dash

does anyone know the resistance of a tail light bulb was thinking i could maybe make a kinda override plug for pulling other trailers by getting a spare 12s plug and connecting up the reverse light and earth pins with the correct value resistor anyone know if this will work??
