Default how to make your car go faster (actualy true)

most people fit bigger engines, fit nitrous or tune the engine, bot not this bloke.there have been blokes who have fitted a gypsy moth engine complete with propelor into a ford popular but it does not beat what a bloke in america did.
this was pieced together by the members of the arizona highway patrol as the driver did not live to say how his run went
the police were first alerted when they were called to what they thought was aviation disaster, the pile of smouldering metal embeded in the side of a cliff certainly looked like the scene of a light aircraft crash.
however it turned out to be the remains of a 67 chevrolet impala, after a lot of forensic investigation and detective work the police finally worked out what had happened.
it turns out that the chevy's owner had managed to get hold of a solid fuel rocket motor of the type used to help heavily laden military aircraft take off from short airfields.
he'd attatched this to the roof of the car and driven to a long straight stratch of highway.then he'd fired the motor.
the police calculate that he did this at a distance of three miles from the crash site, they worked out this from the scorch marks on the tarmac, the rocket motor would, the us air force say reach maximum thrust within five seconds, propelling the 67 chevy to approximatly 350mph in this time.
the rocket would have continued to burn for another 25 seconds.the driver, and soon to be pilot would have experienced g forces usually reserved for F16 pilots.he would have probably passed out at this point.
before losing consciousness though, the driver managed to keep the car on the road, and continued for another two and a half miles,at which point he applied the brakes.
the police know this because they found bits of them all over the road, along with tyres and lumps of suspension, luckily this didnt affect the chevys's handling at all because at this stage it became airbourne.
if flew for another 1.4 miles before impacting the cliff face at a height of 125 feet leaving a charred crater three feet deep in the rock face, police estimated his final speed wasin the region of 420mph

so it ptoves a chevrolet impala does fly
