    confused Fitting a new head unit

    Well people im gonna be fittin a new head unit within the next week or 2.

    im gona fit a double din 1 so i just want to know what else will i need 2 do this? ie surround, wiring, trim??

    You might need a new cage, a surround for sure, the VX ones are angled (Not Square). Then you'll need the right connection at the back ISO etc. Then... if you want your steering wheel controls to work you'll need the right adapter for them... What system you fitting?

    cheers man i kinda had a good idea but just didnt wana be stuck wen it came to fitting it yano lol..

    not 100% sure wat im fitting yet

    look at Kenwood DPX503U mate, good thing for the money. mine's coming to install next month.

    Besides the fascia and Fakra-to-ISO cables, you need to look at CANBUS stuff, some ignition logic box (to recognize ingition signs on the Canbus), steering wheel remote adapter if needed. Also the basic display can be done, the GID and CID will be gone for the music part - with Kenwood at least.
