    Default Thinking of sellin the Vectra :S

    Unfortnatly ive started to think about gettin rid of the veccy dur to bad fuel comsumption i get approx 55 mile to £10... But i no if i get rid i will miss her as it i just so unusual to see them in this colour...
    Done 78,000 with FSH and 12 months Nissan Warranty. Just wondering what approx i would get 4 her?
    Is the fuel consumption normal ? or is it thirsty.. i heard the 1.8 are ment to be quiet heavy on fuel...
    any one interested let me know

    Nice motor mate, always had a soft spot for that colour. It is very rare though, I think I have seen about 3 in Birmingham-EVER! I'd keep it mate. 55 to a tenner isnt bad at all for a 1.8, expecially consdiering my ex-1.9 CDTI 120 used to struggle to get 60 to a tenner!

    Vehicle : Vectra

    Trim : SRI NAV XP

    Engine : 1.9 CDTI 150

    Year : 2007

    Mileage : 72K

    MPG of between 25 and 30mpg on a non-VVT 1.8 is by no means unusual - I used to have one.

    TBH honest mate, I think the MGP was just down to mine.... my dad's one is a 150 and he often gets about 80+. Dont think they are all as bad as that so deffo still consider it! Problem is the Vec-C are worth jack all now, they really have slumped big time!

    I think these things on your's wont help:
    * Dual cobra exhasts
    * Airbox Mod
    * VXR intake pipe

    Having had a 120 I thought it were flappin GUTLESS as my dad had a 150 at the same time. Guy's on here have got the 120 with the tuning box so you get the same power. I drive a 130 B now and it seems like it got soooo much more oooomph, although its only got another 10 horses.

    I guess my personal preference would be 150 due to the power, but people go on about the EGR/SWIRL/DMF, etc, so that really puts a downer on it if and when it goes kaput.

    IMHO, I doubt that i would consider a 120 again....maybe I just had bad luck with mine but it were one thing after another but I got it all sorted in the end and got rid --- idiot! So somone had lots of happy miles to do!

    I guess if you found a good one that had all the recalls done on it and all the paperwork to show DMF/EGR/SWIRL, etc, then you should be OK. But watch out for the Cam Belt aswell as I didnt know that they had belts, I assumed they were chain drive, so not wanting to tkae a chance, I had to fork out an additional £350 to get that done for piece of mind. Try to find one thats had it all done etc!
