    Default Tax and insurance

.. i'm abit miffed on this.

Since i've held my Drivers licence, it's always been cheaper for me to insure van's!??
but i've always had a car!

And yet, i've just found out now, it's cheaper for me to tax and insure a van than my car for the year!

And it's not like a lil crappy escort van.. it's a VW Transporter one!

    Work that out!???

there are a couple of reasons,as to your insurance you have to pay for your passengers in case of an accident,an example is i got a quote on 2 cars both group 16,one was an mr2 2 seater and got a quote of £290,yet a quote for a citroen xsara vts which is a 5 seater the quote was £360.as to tax vans are not taxed by emmisions but by engine size like the old style tax

It's about risk and expected payout to come from premiums.
