Checked usual for signs of wear but nowt showing...bearings,rods are ok, new tyres all round with being balanced three times. Does feel as if its front end passenger side. Goes when foot is lifted off the accelerator pedal but back when applied on. Starts at around 40 mph. Driving me nutts now...thankyou in advance.

My GSi did the same even with new tyres on. Came in at about 50mph under accelaeration and disappeared at 60ish. Then started to get a droning noise from front n/s and was diagnosed as a wheel bearing. Changed wheel bearing and shuddering problem went away.

Modern style bearings on the front of Vec C's can't be checked by wobbling the wheel these days.

When it does happen, it's an unmistakeable sound. Then you know it's time for a new bearing.

Wheel bearing sounds like a heavy vibration and will eventually disapear when you hit above 70 as the frequency will highten the pitch.
