    Default CCR 2006 Review

    Hi,

I'm buying a great Vectra Hatch Elite, 54 Reg Sept 2004.

It has CCR 2006 inlcuded with a colour display ... how id the CCR 2006 as a head unit for performance?

I do not even own any cassette tapes anymore, thankfully the 4 CD autochanger will come in handy though.

Can anyone recommned a plug and play alternative?

I'm confused to why I have a colour screen and a CCR 2006, my new car is an ex Vx Fleet car

I actually think the CCR 2006 is a pretty good unit. I'm very much into my home hi-fi/cinema so appreciate a decent sound. Bearing in mind that you have all the car/road noise that will 'spoil' the sound of any unit I find it suits me well for an in-car unit.

I did a little 'test' recently. I sat in the back of the car when parked up, put a few CD's in and wound up the volume and shut my eyes. The sound, to me, was rather good - better than any midi system I've clapped my ears on!!!

Hi Vectra 2.0t, was the transition simply plug and play for the kenwood? did you have to add / remove speakers?

Hi Vectra 2.0t .... I notice the traction control button on your dash .. did you add the button or was it already supplied? I've heard than the function is already there but a blank button is over the switch

For an original fit unit it's not bad at all. I had the same unit in my Omega, and I think the standard speakers were better, but the one in the Signum plays CD-r's reliably, where the Omega one wouldn't!

hello, im a n00b but interested in replacing my OEM stereo, its a CDR 2005. I have an ipod that i really want to connect using the dension ice>link but as far as i can see there isnt an interface for it on the CDR 2005. where is the best place to get info on facia adapters OR can anyone help either confirm or deny that my OEM stereo isnt compatible with the dension adapter.

    Cheers

I'm afraid there's no apparent way to get any external signal into one of these, apart from a cassette slot adaptor (untidy) or an FM retransmitter (in theory illegal, and the quality's not great.)
As far as fascia adaptors go, I think Halfrauds do one, but there are loads about.

    Cheers, Phil
