The Mk1 Eyeball does not warn you in advance, although the 'Mk1 Brain Cell' MIGHT. The beauty of a detector is that it informs you of an upcoming camera that you had not come across before, or REMINDS you of one which your Mk 1 Brain Cell may not remember in time. It only takes one lapse of concentration to be caught by a camera, the detector just helps to maintain that concentration.....and cruise control helps you maintain an appropriate speed, in addition to your right foot.

IMO Camera Detectors, standalone or built in, are a worthwhile investment.

Or I could take the moral high ground and say, don't speed and you won't ever need a Snooper et al, or get a ticket.....

My Tomtom has GPS locations in it, but warns of all sites, whether active or not.
