    Default Micro-Fibre cleaning cloths

    Costco's do a bundle of 20 (40cmx40cm) micro-fibre cloths for £9.99+vat

    Are these any good for detailing work ?

    I only ask as my wife has blagged 3 of the 6 that I brought back from the USA for doing her windows with

    Only way to find out is buy some.... could always give them to the wife if they're no good!!

    they will be ok for general cleaning but they may scratch your car. When i say scratch i mean ultra fine scratches that you probably wont even notice but a trainspotting detailer may.

    They recommend buying good quality cloths only and leave the cheap ones for things like door shuts, alloys, bottoms of doors etc

    I got some cheap ones from tescos, and use them on the paint fine. however, I always make sure that there is a product on the cloth for lubrication, quick detailer or spray wax. when taking off polish, when you want the cloth to be dry, I use a decent one.

    if you get them, try using them on a brand new cd..for copying etc...if it scratches that then dont use on your paintwork...it will amaze you that they can actually scratch a cd..
