Default Not hot air thru the blower!

Hey, been having a problem with the heater / blower in my 54 plate Signum, 2.0 DTI,
It has stopped blowing hot air through when i turn the heat dial up to hot.
i only get cold air, or with the air con on, even colder air!
its still blowing at all 4 different speeds, just no heat coming through.
Anyone got any ideas about what this could be? or any ways to fix it?
    Cheers
    Jimmy

Good point about the coolant tank level, you need that for warm air.

yes, just ordered one for mine (seems to be fairly common problem) £79 not fitted

Try to srip it down & clean all the cogs. Mine was finished so no option. Looks like about £2 worth TBH, bit of a rip off if you ask me.

£45 on Ebay. I have seen some 2nd hand ones on there for £20.

Start by taking the glovebox out, it's on the right hand side from memory.

    Default Heater sorted now!

So i decided to give it a go myself, took the glovebox out, found the little beggar! its smaller than i thought.
tried operating the heater controls to see if anything moved, and nothing happened.
i managed to get the servo motor off, it helps to move the ducting out of the way by releasing the torx holding it in place too.
Took it apart, and noticed that it looked like a tooth was missing on a cog, but i ralised that its supposed to be like that, as the range of movement means that it stops before it gets to that point, and mine had slipped so that it was stuck on the gap.
Anyway, sprayed a little WD40, put it back together and plugged it back in, all working fine!
    Saved myself about £ 40 - 80 by having a go myself!

Just need a code reader now to find out why i'm getting the car and spanner symbol up!
