    Vehicle : Insignia Elite Nav

    Trim : Elite

    Engine : 2.0 cdti

    Year : 2012

    Mileage : 9k

    Default lowering

am i right in thinking that the sri is 15mm lower than normal ?

and is the sri 15mm lower than the standard elite because the ride height looks ok on the sri

im looking to drop my elite by 30-35mm would that then give me the same ride height look as the sri or will i need to go lower ?

An sri sits 15mm lower than the elite.

If you lower your car 30-35mm it would be lower than the standard Sri.

A pic of my sri dropped 35mm on eibachs, it's starting to settle in now so it's a little bit lower.

If you are considering dropping 35mm some people advise the shorter dampers.

It would be OK but I would go a bit lower, all depends what type of drop you want. Have a look at mine, I've dropped it 45/40, lowered it 30/25 ish.

Also worth mentioning that if you lower, then fit bigger wheels (overall rolling radius) then they will raise the car up again! Of course the wheels will still leave less of a gap in the arch.
So: (if my maths is right)
    -40mm lower
    + 40mm bigger wheels
    = 20mm lower body & -20mm gap in arch

isnt it -60 gap in the arch as the wheel is now 20mm closer to the arch and the arch has been moved 40mm closer to the wheel
