How have you calculated that?

Just from the fuel comp, how much I'm putting in and how far I travel. Usually get around 530 miles to a tank, sometimes more, with normal driving. Non motorway driving.

530 miles (in a 65 litre tank) equates to about 37mpg..... which is pretty good for non motorway box'd driving, but not what your OBC will say

I don't let it get into the red and very rarely the light comes on before I fill up, so maybe slightly more.

Ive just done 800mile trip down to wales bit of drivin in wales and was showing 51.3mpg. Standard car.

Thats right, make him feel even worse about his car

i would not reset the trip let it run to over a 1,000 miles then read the MPG u should get a much more realistic reading.

then mine shows 48mpg on the motorway,but it is not doing that though,more like 44-45 mpg

i have been filling the tank every month,taking the mileage and amount of fuel used,it works out the ame every month

I have a CDTi Sri Estate 54 plate.
Last year - and this was calculated - my mpg was 38 for the entire year.
My worst has been 34mpg calulated on a tank
My best has been 48mpg calculted on a tank.
My worst milage on a tank has been 354
My best milage on a tank has been 538
I normally always get 400+ to a tank on the journey style it does.3 school runs per day for example.
In all the years I`ve been on here ,I came to the conclusion long ago ,that the estate will never get what vxl proclaim it will on mpg.
Also those that have posted before about mpg, the estate always does poor compared to the hatch back - or those cars that don`t have a DPF.Which I think ,kills the mpg on them.

My car's not too bad on fuel then. It's averaging just over 40 mpg. That's a combination of in town, A & B roads. And thats for an 05 Estate.
Oh and its a 3.0 V6, totally standard.

I've done 113 miles since the last fill up, it reckons I've managed 18.2mpg so far.
