    Default 2.0t or 2.2

    Hi all ive decieded my 1.8 ls nice tho it is i want something abit faster and i was just wondering what to go for the 2.0t or the 2.2 they both have similar power and the 2.2 is less on insureance can anybody tell me what i can do to both of the cars thanks

    They definitely don't have similar power. 2.0T is 175bhp. Don't have the 2.2 specs immediately to hand but it's certainly less.

    The 2.0T is far more tuneable with a remap. To get good gains on the 2.2 is lots of ££££

    think the 2.2 direct is bout 153bhp which is fine for me, but if you are looking for more power the 2.0t is the job and easily tunable

    hmmm just been looking at the 2.0t and yes am guna be getting one of those in th next year hopefull the 100 edition and the insurence aint bad for me either

    think the road tax is a bit high on 2.0 t but it's an excellent engine.

    after having had a car with both these engines fitted i can definately say the 2.0 turbo is the best ,smooth,economical and deceptively quick and as lee says the 2.0 is better on the gogo juice,my 2.2 direct signum was getting 19.6 mpg and my 2.0 turbo is 33mpg,get one and love it mate
