Thumbs down Insurance - Not Happy!

    HI all,

Come in from work at lunch, and find the post! Whoop Whoop!

    Car insurance! Doh!

We're with Admiral, Multi car policy.

    Im 26, missus is 25. She has a TP10. We have a 2004 corsa, 1.8 and the 2.2 signum.

    Re newal - £924!! F/c!!

How sh** is that? Last year, same details, but she was 24, and i was 25 when we tooko out the policy we paid £720!
Wht the heck is there a difference? I ask admiral why, and she couldn't tell me!

    Can anyone enlighten me?
can anyone suggest a company to try?

We want to spend less then £650 for both.

    Cheers
    Ian.

Punch your details into confused.com. or similar I've changed insurer for last 10 years every year. The last one was over £200 cheaper than the renewal letter I was sent. I just go for the cheapest one I have heard of. Currently with the AA.

Chris Knott are AT on here so give them a bell too.

This is what the AA did to me. My renewal came through for something silly, I rang around and Admiral quoted me £200 less !!! The renewal notice from the AA stated that if I didn't cancel they would automatically renew it and increase the DD payments. I rang them, told them to stuff it but they checked the quote anyway. Strangely enough, the new quote was only £5 more than Admiral - a computer automatically works out the renewals and then sends them off - I still went with Admiral. I reckon that a percentage of people just accept the renewal and the insurance company make even more money.

I walked from my Bell policy because they could not drop the price - ended up daving a fortune. Have you not tried Chris Knott?
