    yeah aftermarket ones are available.....just not for the 3.0 cdti (3.2 ones different) think im gonna go for a weitec 30mm drop spring kit for £136.... so mine being the sri does that come 15mm lower as standard, meaning with these springs it will be 15mm lower than the original sri spec?

    This is normally due to the "weaker" side, taking up the slack so to speak.
    It's a do at your own risk kind of thing.

    I did that with my old 1.8SXI, and the other side went within a year, snapping in exactly the same fashion.

    If you have the money, do both sides, and have done.

    If the 'good' spring doesn't have any signs of damage, eg nicks stratches, corrosion etc, then it is perfectly safe to just change the failed one.

    well have just ordered a 'supersport' spring kit @ £103. so will just replace all 4...35mm drop frt and 30mm drop rear

    Was going to drop mine with PI springs but struggling to find them for the V6 CDTI
