    confused HID confusion

Right guys I need some help as i'm a little confused.

I would like some HID's because i've seen that they look good and give a better light. However, i'm sure i've read somewhere that retro fitting these kits in cars that aren't supposed to have them is illegal??

What about buying a whole new headlamp unit that is specially made for the job (of HID's)??

Would somebody be able to enlighten me on this?

Basically, retro fitting HiD kits will pass MOT's, Police won't stop you etc... so its upto you mate.

IMO they are a requirement due to the light increase in the dark and Vec C's need them badly.

They are fine...I have them in my Calibra and ive been behind police cars with no problem and passed 2 MOT's with them

I have to say i dont like them being retro fitted to cars with reflector beam headlamps as they dazzle like hell, with projector beam its no different to any newer car with them fitted as standard
