    Default Dtuk chip

    Hi all, this is my first post,
    just wonderd if eneyone has tryed out a dtuk tuning chip?
    They are on ebay,is it much diferent from the tuning box?

    I bought a vectra sri cdti 150,this is my first diesel car and wonder what to do with it.

    It is a tuning box - look at the picture in the eBay ads. Tuning box/tuning chip - same difference. Best to contact the seller if you want more specific info - or you could get yourself a very similar box for a whole lot less. Just do a search for caterman box on here.

    ive recently purchased a dtuk green box and im over the moon about it, best 250 quid i ever spent at the mo, got some amazing power if i want it but the best bit is if you drive sensible you get 60+mpg average. its superb.

    some people will agree and some will disagree. but i think its the mutts nutts

    As long as you're happy.

    Don't forget that these 'boxes' screw with your fuel computer (make it look like you're getting a lot more miles to the gallon),so don't rely on any of the readouts for mpg,instant mpg,range to empty etc.Chances are that you're actually using more fuel,but you're blinded to that by the jump in performance.

    can't fault mine either had mine for ages now got it turned up really high and still getting 45mpg town driving off to scarborough on sat nice long drive so i'll let you know what return mpg i get there

    You cant really "chip" a modern flash rom based ecu anyway - its all done through the diagnostic port using a "flash" tool. Tuning boxes are ok, but I prefer a remap.

    Not completely - Some cars HAVE to have the chip replaced.

    Some 1999 VAG cars cannot be flashed, only chipped, for example
