    Default Happy then Unhappy!

Thought I'd give the veccy a nice bath today...

    then i noticed this...

The pics aren't brilliant but there is a dent on the arch and then about 6 or 7 scratches on the rear quarter and across the fuel flap! Looks malicious to me too. The paint isn't taken back to the primer but the laquer is scraped off in places.

Why does this sort of thing have to happen?! Just when you've got no ****** money as it is! 2 steps forward and 3 back.

Anyway, what are peoples opinions... does anyone think one of those smart repair guys would be able to work some magic on these? If so what sort of cost am I looking at?

I'm honestly gutted! Only just got my excess back from when some idiot hit my front bumper in a car park.

I saw a blonde woman (no offence) open her door today and thumped it into a focus next to hers, she then checked both cars, realised what she did and moved her car a few spaces, was gonna tell the guy what happened but there were two others there eager to tell the poor guy what happened. Its really rather pathetic, and she didnt seem to give a damn, she checked her car more, and judging by the fact i could see the primar on her rear bumper it wasnt the first time.

Gutted for you dude, im careful where i park mine after seeing hopw ignorant people are.

Im gutted for you mate. I had someone put a nice big f*****g dent in near side rear door about a month ago, never found who done it. people make me so mad they just have got no respect for other peoples stuff.

The scratches should come out with a few intence polishies mate i had quite a few on my bonnet where it was just the laquer and not the paint. I used Auto Glym Polish and it worked a treat!

Hope you get it sorted soon

thanks for the comments guys - still annoyed but feel a bit better today. a mate at work looked at it and reckons it looks like someone has fallen into it with their push bike - probably a local child judging by the height. it makes sense and does look like a handlebar has clattered down the side of it... which also explains where the rubber came from in the scratches. i'll be checking the local kids bikes for evidence of red paint! at least i can stop being paranoid about someone being out to get me lol!

i'm going to have a go at polishing the scratches out then get one of those dent magic guys to sort the dent itself.

any more recommendations on polish (i was going to start with red t-cut) or tackling the scratches would be highly appreciated. autoglym has been noted cheers atomic - any particular type or is it just a standard polish?

this is the second time that I've had pushbike related damage to one of my cars! the first time i watched in horror as some little ****e lost control of her bike and slammed into the side of my prized Escort RS2000! left a scrape that took the paint down to bear metal! she just said sorry and cycled off!
