    Default Brake dust help

    guys i have some really bad burnt in break dust. i have used chemical guys glue and tar remover (aka new car solvent ) and didnt sem to shift it ( i noticed otherppl seemed to have used this).did i do something wrong or what should i use. the very cherry stuff on normal dust is brilliant just need to shift this before i wax the wheels. help please

    are you sure its brake dust and not the paint chipping off? I only ask because I thought my wheels had some very stubborn brake dust on them. On closer inspection it seemed they just required a good refurb!

    no pretty sure that it brake dust. couple of stone chips as well but would rather buy new wheels if i could ever decide which ones i like

    I had this issue & I used barmans friend, it is a white powered that when u add water its great at getting mosting off & it hasnt affected my alloys at all. Try it, I got mine from sainsburys.

    Let me know if u try it.

    Have you tried to clay the wheels. That might stift it.

    i have used wonderwheels on another car before and it worked wonders i wonder should i use it again to shift this and then start protectin the wheels again

    AG tar and glue remover - apply to a cloth, apply cloth to area, wait...rub away.

    that could be what the problem was as i sprayed on and maybe it needs a dabb on application
