    what head unit you got...?

I have seen a way of doing it on a CDR2005... (obviously a cassette adaptor's no good) By soldering a cable onto the underside of the head unit where the cd signal input goes... then locating a 3.5mm socket in the car. The site showing how to do it was a german one iirc... deffo been mentioned on the forum before.

Unfortunately as there's no 'aux' setting on the head unit, you need to record a 'blank' cd (ie 74 minutes of silence) and play it at the same time as you use your ipod (or whatever)...

Seems a bit if a faff to me... but will probably get round to it sooner or later. (or bite the bullet and replace the headunit, but i honestly don't think this one sounds too bad)
