Shark Fin

Firstly thanks for looking.

I have seen a few shark fin ariels on ebay ( look at link ) but im not too convinced with them, i put one on a mates car and all was fine until he drove in built up areas or through the town, the signal was crap.
Does anyone have a shark fin, and 3 questions:-

How good is the signal compared to the original ariel
Where did you buy it from
How much do good ones cost.

a lot of cars have them now tho, volvos have them also so they aint just for bmw's, its like the indicators in the mirrors should they just stay in merc's?? once a company does something its not long till others follw suit is it.. i quite like the shark fins i think they look a lot tidier and flow with the car better, each to their own tho eh

I like the sharks fin & might look at replacngmine with a colour coded onesoon But as with alot of mod, some will like & some wont. In the end of the day its what u like & what u like only.

i think bmws are powered amplified aerials. would be better off removing aerial completely and getting powered windscreen aerial stuck on rear quarterlight window.

i will buy one when some eles buys one and it fits a treat and gets good signal and the radio works fine.....until then i will keep my normal one
