    Default my vectra history

I dont post many threads but would like to tell you about my vectras so far, the list as follows:

started with a W reg LS in silver
then an R reg SRI 140 in black
then i diverted to an SRI astra V reg
then an X reg SRI 140 in green
then a 2.2DTI Ls 02 plate (new shape)
then a 2004 54 reg SRI 1.9 CDTI Navi in black
i swapped this at Pentagon for a 2005 54 reg 2.2 direct Navi in black with 18 inch alloys
i then sold this and bought a 2004 3.0 V6 SRI in Silver lightning.

I just like the change my car often, i am now thinking of selling the V6 and buying a face lift in black, and going back to petrol cos they are cheeper to buy, what do you think?

I can only sell the V6 if i get my money back (£10500 with extras) according to the wife who is non too happy.

    views please.

    Unhappy

not any more mate, just moving house so if the V6 goes that's all ive got. the CDTI was a straight swap with the 2.2 direct, i thought i had a good deal until i realised the px price for the diesel was the same as the retail price for the petrol which was £9995. i was blinded by the 18 inch wheels.

Nice drive the 2.2, very smooth and quiet and Goes well when you give it some. As for the mpg i was getting 27mpg (town) in the 2.2 and 30mpg in the V6 obviously the V6 is better on a run but i dont go far and petrol is cheeper. I have a company vehicle like yours

Sorry to be so blunt, but an old saying about 'money' and 'sense' comes to mind.
Changing cars like that must cost a fortune. Each to their own, but why do you feel the need to change so frequently? And within the same vehicle type?

I simply don't understand your motives.

variety is the spice of life. cant change the wife for a new model every 6 months so i change the car. And gives the neighbours something to talk about.

Doesnt cost much to swap if you buy and sell private, even made a few quid on a couple. As for vectra's you get a lot of car for your money and they look good thought about a Saab or A4 but to much for too little.

Got to agree with that i too have been through about 8 cars in the last 10 months and if you do it right you dont have to lose money on all of them !!!!!
