Default Goodbye Vectra C... Hello B!

This thread is long overdue as I stopped driving my Vectra C about a month ago but I had some time spare before going back to work so here we go...

Yep, unfortunately the Vectra C (1.8 SRi) is gone. I put her back to standard, besides the tinted windows, and then we parted... gone but not forgotten.

She has been replaced by a 2000 Vauxhall Vectra B GSi. And I have to say, the 2.5 V6 is so much more fun than the little 1.8

    Here's a pic!

IMHO you have taken a huge step backwards going from a C to a B.

OK, you can't compare a 1.8 to a 2.6 - but at a whole vehicle level (apart from engine power) the B is a far inferior car.

Ste - I prefer the ride in the B to the C. The Vectra C felt sluggish round the corners and always seemed to roll a lot to me. The interior in the GSi is so much better too, what with the Recaro seats and all. At the end of the day, there isn't any "fact" to it all, just opinion and personal preference.

If that means I'm going backwards, then I'm happy to be

Again, you are comparing the setup of the GSI B to the SRi C with an underpowered power plant.

I wonder what you would say about the comparison of GSi B to GSi C - which is a much more fairer comparison perhaps?

But, yes, it is your personal choice, which is why I said IMHO. I wouldn't ever buy a B.
