    Default Oversized downpipe and de-cat

Just been quoted £350 for a oversized stainless downpipe for my vectra 1.9 cdti 150bhp model

    current mods are
k&n panel filter with modded air box
cat back stainless duplex exhaust (soon to be decatted)
    DTUK green tuning box

I wondering how much difference in power/spool up times this will make?

also just had a duplex stainless exhaust fitted but its not as loud as i expected so will a de-cat make it much louder?

And finally what other mods can i do to make it quicker?

    cheers kris

is there anything inside the silencers? the less resistance you have in the exhaust system/flow, generally the louder it will become.

cut the exhaust off at the downpipe and you would be amazed. Did that to an old cav once. (where did the chevy v8 come from)

    there's only one cat!

i would like to have a full stainless from engine to back box's.. but i have DPF.. so i don;t know what it'd be like not having that.
    eg ECU lights etc!

So for now... i shall enjoy my new powerflow system from DPF back!
